Head of Risk Management

En. Zaffarin currently heads the Risk Management department and runs the risk management program in the organization. In this role he is responsible primarily for strengthening the overall risk management architecture of ARJMF and enhancing relevant processes and procedures in accordance with the strategic business direction of the organization.

Zaffarin came to ARJMF after 5 years with Bank Negara Malaysia, as part of the Treasury Risk Management section overseeing the conduct of investment operations in the management of the country's International Reserves. Besides being involved in the formulation and enhancements of risk-related framework, his tenure there also includes experience in many business process improvement initiatives and often led efforts in IT-related improvements especially.

He began his career in 1998 with Wachovia Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina, attached as a specialist to the Consumer Credit division. In his 3-year tenure, he was instrumental in several business process enhancement initiatives, especially in the development of a central error tracking database for the division.

Zaffarin graduated cum laude (Economics) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
